FAQ

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
First of all - take a deep breath. Most of my clients are not professional models, and many are doing their very first family session. My job is to make the experience feel easy, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable.
When you book with me, I'll guide you through the entire process. You'll receive a session prep and style guide with tips for outfits, preparing kids, and making the day feel smooth and stress-free. I'm also always available to help with planning along the way; whether that's choosing outfits, coordinating colors, or answering last-minute questions.
During the session, you don't need to worry about posing or "doing it right." I gently guide when needed, but the real magic happens in the in-between moments - snuggling your kids, walking together, laughing, and simply being yourselves.
My sessions are relaxed, welcoming, and child-led when needed. The goal isn't perfection - it's capturing the connection and magic that already exists within your family.
Are the travel expenses included in your packages?
Yes! Travel is included for most of my session locations, so there are no surprise add-ons when you book.
The only exception is sessions within Boston, which require additional travel time, traffic considerations, and parking fees. Because of that, a travel fee of $100 applies to all Boston sessions.
If you're dreaming of a specific location, just let me know when booking and I'll happily walk you through the details.
Can you recommend any locations?
Absolutely. I have a curated list of beautiful locations that photograph wonderfully throughout the seasons, and I'm always happy to help choose the perfect setting for your session.
Some families love the beach at sunset, while others are drawn to open fields, or even the comfort of their own home. Each location creates a different mood, and I'll help you choose one that fits the look you love and the season we're in.
If you're unsure, don't worry - that's part of the planning process. I help my clients with every detail of their session, so that when the day arrives you can simply show up, relax, and enjoy time with the people you love.
What if my kids don't cooperate?
Honestly? That's completely normal - and you don't need to worry about it.
Children don't need to sit perfectly still or smile at the camera for beautiful photos to happen. Some of the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments: snuggles, giggles, curious exploring, or a child reaching for mom or dad.
My sessions are intentionally relaxed and child-led. I create space for kids to move, play, and warm up naturally rather than expecting them to perform. With little ones, especially, we follow their energy and turn moments into something playful and fun.
As a mom, myself, I completely understand how unpredictable kids can be. There's no pressure for perfection here - just real moments with the people you love most. More often than not, parents leave saying, "I was so worried about how that went," and then they see their gallery and realize the magic was there all along.
